Ways to Help
Southwick House is a collaborative effort, and your support is invaluable. Learn more below about ways you can help.
100 Years Campaign -
For 100 years, Southwick House (formerly Plumb Place) served the housing needs of single women in the Emporia and surrounding communities. In 2023, Southwick House completed a reorganization of mission and embarked on a $3.6M capital campaign to build a new facility for the next 100 years of service to our most vulnerable populations. Our new facility will allow us to serve women and families by bringing 42 beds of transitional housing online in Lyon and surrounding counties.
Match Day
We are so grateful to be part of ECF Match Day in 2025. All donations to Match Day will go to our $3.6M capital campaign ensuring a stable, safe housing environment and continued services for the next 100 years. All Match campaign dollars are deposited with the Emporia Community Foundation (ECF) and are eligible for charitable tax receipts.

Match Day donations must be given between October 17 - November 17, 2025. Donors may visit the ECF website and choose Southwick House with the link listed below or you may visit ECF in-person on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Please Note: You will be taken to the ECF portal to complete your donation in a new window.
Daily Help
Your donations to Southwick House assist in providing direct care to our residents. Southwick House is on track to break ground in early 2026 and be fully operational by August. These donations for daily help will provide a solid platform to start-up operations. Your generosity can help a family get back on their feet and set them up with the skills to regain their independence:
